About The Position

Walden Security is hiring a part-time Weekend Security Officer for client sites in downtown Knoxville. Officers typically work two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with daytime and overnight options available. Before starting, employees must complete a two-day State of Tennessee Unarmed Security licensing course during the week. The role protects clients’ industrial and commercial properties from fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Duties include walking buildings to inspect doors, floors, and elevators, and checking for hazards such as leaks, fire, unusual activity, or suspicious activity. Client properties include office buildings, luxury residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, telecommunications and manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other sites.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Complete the two-day State of Tennessee Unarmed Security licensing course before starting.

Responsibilities

Protect clients’ industrial and commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry.
Walk buildings to inspect doors, multiple floors, and elevators.
Check buildings for hazards, including leaks and fire, as well as unusual or suspicious activity.
