About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for an assigned government facility in Anchorage, Alaska. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at a designated site, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The position pays $21.00 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. The officer provides customer service, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access and activity, responds to incidents, and documents and communicates security-related information.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate security-related information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
