About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in Long Beach, California, you will safeguard clients and support a welcoming experience for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service. The role offers access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, storefronts, and perimeter locations.
Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills, and document activities according to site procedures.
Help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and disruptive behavior through a visible presence and professional interactions.
