About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Deescalation for an assigned site in New York, NY. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary up to 40 per week, with the ability to scale back. The listed schedule is Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors authorized access, responds to incidents and alarms, and documents patrols and daily activity. Applicants are subject to applicable background and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and help maintain authorized entry procedures for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities according to company and site reporting requirements.
