About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in New York, NY. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and a reliable, collaborative approach. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor facility access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, driver, and contractor activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
Observe and report operational concerns, including unsecured doors, damaged fencing, vehicle traffic concerns, and suspicious activity.
