About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide armed patrol and incident management at a manufacturing and industrial site in Houston, Texas. The position has a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedule as needed.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities. The role includes armed patrols, responding to incidents and emergencies, and promptly documenting security-related activity. Applicants must meet applicable armed-role legal and licensing requirements and participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Serve as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations; notify site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and security-related observations using required reporting tools.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
