About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an upscale supermarket chain in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will safeguard the retail location by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. The role involves communicating professionally with shoppers, team members, and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. The stated schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.48 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, entrances, parking areas, receiving locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
