About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a government location. The officer will provide customer service and carry out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 4:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas at the government location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, helping deter unauthorized entry and suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with site contacts and public personnel.
