Security Officer Part Time Incident Response
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a financial institution in Dover, Delaware. The officer will help safeguard the client’s employees, customers, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, providing customer service, and responding professionally to incidents and security concerns. The role pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Applicants must meet the applicable age and education requirements and may be subject to background and drug screening as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet state or local licensing requirements if applicable; licensing may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, perimeter, parking areas, and designated access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity; report unusual conditions and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
