About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Patrol Surveillance Security Officer in Mertztown, Pennsylvania, serving a chemical and petrochemical location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, reports observations promptly, and supports site operations through customer service and clear communication. The role includes responding to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations according to site procedures. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.60 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities.
