About The Position

As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location in Tampa, Florida, you will safeguard clients and contribute to a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor activity, respond to incidents, and provide customer service while following site-specific policies and procedures. The role is full-time, with shifts scheduled Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Pay is $15.60 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and exterior grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; request assistance or notify emergency responders when appropriate.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
