About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Enhanced Security Officer in Bennettsville, South Carolina. The role provides a fixed, dependable weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that shift. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the scheduling platform and may work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position is intended for candidates seeking part-time work with consistent hours and flexibility. The posted schedule is Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The officer carries out site security procedures, responds to incidents and alarms, conducts armed patrols, monitors access, documents activity, and reports hazards or suspicious activity. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law, and officers must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout food and beverage production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, delivery, and incident activity according to site procedures.
Maintain required qualifications for authorized defensive equipment and report hazards, suspicious activity, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
