About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Enhanced in Greenville, South Carolina. The role provides a dependable assigned-site shift, with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time or pick up shifts toward as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $22.00 per hour, and the scheduled shift is Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures at an aerospace and defense location. Duties include armed security, access control, patrols, incident response, and protection of restricted areas and critical assets. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law, and must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency-response activities.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with Allied Universal policy, applicable laws, and site post orders; inspect assigned equipment and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help protect restricted areas, sensitive materials, and critical assets from unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and accurately document events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting security concerns, unusual activity, and hazardous conditions.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
