About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Computer Operations in San Jose, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication to support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. The position contributes to Allied Universal’s team-oriented, integrity-focused culture.

This is a full-time position paying $22.95 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• At least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, garages, loading zones, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures; verify credentials as directed and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
