About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Arlington, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients and site personnel by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to alarms, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role pays $26.27 per hour and follows a schedule of Tuesday through Thursday, 2:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., and Saturday, 10:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and applicable emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant security information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
