About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol an aerospace and defense location in San Diego, California. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, supporting access control and site procedures, and providing customer service and clear communication. An active DoD Secret clearance is required. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.37 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor visitor, employee, and delivery activity and report unusual conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
