About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a logistics and distribution location in Springfield, Virginia. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, use a computer or tablet to record observations, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role supports a secure environment through customer service, site-specific procedures, and appropriate emergency response.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when handling incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations, following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, vehicle access points, trailer yards, docks, employee entrances, and the business perimeter.
Monitor personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicle activity for compliance with site-specific access requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
