Security Officer Residential Building Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to patrol a residential building in Baltimore, Maryland. The unarmed officer will safeguard residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. The role involves responding professionally to incidents and concerns, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders, and completing reports and shift documentation. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations; document observations and incidents according to site requirements.
- Communicate with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
