About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol and incident prevention at a cultural institution in Marietta, Georgia. The officer will safeguard the client site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, and helping provide a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and program participants by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, provide directions, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Support a welcoming environment at a community-focused location while remaining aware of security-related concerns.
