About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced unarmed Security Officer for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Arleta, California. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary based on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies, responds to incidents and delivery-related concerns, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points, and completes required reports. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, driver, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
