About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Milpitas, California. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a required six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the possibility of building up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while performing site-specific security procedures, patrols, access monitoring, reporting, and emergency response activities. The position is at a healthcare location and involves unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeters.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.
