About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The position provides a consistent designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $18.54 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and conducts unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter. Duties also include monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting observations and concerns according to site procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established post orders.
• Document observations, patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
