About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned corporate technology office in Arlington, Virginia. The role provides a reliable weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position involves customer service, unarmed patrols, access-control monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and report access-control irregularities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Accurately document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts.
