Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control

About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Dallas, Texas, you will help safeguard the client’s employees, visitors, contractors, and facility. The role includes monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control. You will provide customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment, depending on applicable requirements.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications according to company and site requirements.
