About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a visitor management desk at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will welcome tenants and visitors, manage access control and badge activities, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service while maintaining a professional, visible presence and supporting a welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the commercial real estate front desk by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
Monitor lobby activity, access-control systems, cameras, and alarm notifications, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities.
Receive incoming calls, provide directions and building information, and communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and emergency responders.
