About The Position

As a Security Officer in Visitor Management at a logistics and distribution location in Doraville, Georgia, you will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a professional environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role relies on a visible presence, strong communication, and customer service to help deter security-related incidents. The position is full-time and pays $15.42 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control facility access by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment, and report irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents and critical situations, including access-related issues, traffic concerns, and emergencies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
