Security Officer Part Time Patrol Observation

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense-related location in Houston, Texas. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, reports security concerns, and provides customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture. The stated pay rate is $15.50 per hour. The schedule lists Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, entry points, parking areas, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report irregularities or suspicious conditions.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
