About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for hospital patrol and access control in Laguna Beach, California. In this healthcare setting, the officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supports access control, and provides customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. The role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, at $26.00 per hour. The position includes access to additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Guard card or license.
Experience with access control and badge systems.
CPR certification.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Assist with access control procedures, visitor direction, and monitoring restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Accurately and promptly document and report incidents, observations, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
