Security Officer Part Time Driving Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a utilities location in Fairfax, Virginia. This primarily driving role includes vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring assigned areas, helping deter security-related incidents, and providing professional customer service. The officer communicates with staff and visitors while supporting access control and site operations. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18.22 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and utility operations staff while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeters to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry, exit, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.
