About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol position serving a retail and mall location in La Habra, California. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. The driving role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, at a rate of $20.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law. Customer service experience, a guard card or license, and access control or badge experience are preferred. Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and location-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
Document incidents and complete required reports.
Help maintain an orderly environment by providing directions and supporting visitor access procedures.
Communicate professionally with property representatives and law enforcement personnel when needed.
