About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for controlled entry operations at a manufacturing and industrial location in Dallas, Texas. The officer will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. The role includes providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The position is scheduled for daytime hours on Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $16.22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to authorized areas.
Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, perimeter areas, and designated facility locations to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
