About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to support a government sanitation operations location in Woodside, New York. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control and visitor interactions, and providing professional customer service. The position is scheduled Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $18.87 per hour. The role involves following site-specific procedures, responding to incidents and service calls, monitoring authorized access, and documenting patrols and activities. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service calls, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, vehicle areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
