About The Position

Stew Leonard’s is seeking a Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for our Team Members and customers. The role involves protecting company assets, ensuring minimal loss, and assisting in profit maximization. This is a part-time, hourly position with an estimated pay range of $18 - $20 per hour, requiring 2-3 overnight shifts per week. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Entry level – 1 to 2 years experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Great customer service.
• Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts.
• Good oral communication.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Must be at least 18 years and older.

Nice To Haves

• Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect interior/exterior of building for physical security issues.
• Provide a safe and secure shopping and working environment by ensuring that company safety and security standards are met.
• Respond to issues requiring First Aid / CPR /AED.
• Prepare incident and investigation reports.
• Educate Team Members in safe practices and shrink control.
• Attend and support safety and department communication meetings.
• Complete audits as directed.
• Occasional travel and frequent use of company vehicles.
• Ensure safety to all team members and customers.
• Report all in-store accidents to the proper departments.
• Work as a team with other security officers.
• Control traffic in a safe and orderly manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
