About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer at a financial institution in Chicago, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients and maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible security presence, communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service. The position is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and pays $21.25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
