About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for Enhanced Patrol Operations at a retail and mall location in Oxford, Ohio. The role provides a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to vary hours and work up to 40 hours per week. The listed schedule is Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The position involves customer service, unarmed patrols, monitoring property activity, responding to incidents, and documenting security-related events.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property; report suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
