About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving a premier retail center in Irvine, California, you will help safeguard clients and create a welcoming environment for tenants, shoppers, visitors, and guests. The role involves visible patrols, customer service, observing and reporting concerns, responding to incidents, and following site-specific policies and emergency procedures. The schedule listed is Tuesday and Saturday, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM. Pay is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
Observe and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
Assist with access control, directions, and visitor interactions.
Document daily activities and incidents.
