About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for mall center patrol in Irvine, California. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The schedule is Sunday from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary up to 40 per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Duties include patrolling retail common areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeters; responding to incidents and concerns; monitoring access and activity; reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns; and maintaining incident reports and daily activity logs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
