About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Peoria, Illinois, serving a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer conducts driving patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves customer service, communication, site-specific security procedures, and emergency response activities. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour, with a schedule of Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed; report unauthorized access attempts and security concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in required reports and logs.
