Security Officer Part Time Patrol Incident
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Fairfield, New Jersey. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes responding to security-related concerns, communicating clearly, and providing exceptional customer service. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the listed age, education, and experience requirements. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, exterior areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
