Security Officer Grounds Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for patrol duties at a commercial real estate location in Lake Placid, New York, supporting athletic training operations. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to athletes, staff, visitors, and vendors. The role involves communicating clearly, responding professionally to security concerns, and helping maintain a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position scheduled from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $26.16 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to athletes, staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond professionally to incidents, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and follow established reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, training areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications accurately.
- Maintain a professional presence in a high-visibility athletic training environment.
