About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Ingress Security in Lakeland, Florida. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially increasing their schedule up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position pays $16.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Wednesday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and helps protect a logistics and distribution location by managing access, screening deliveries and vehicles, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and documenting and reporting observations according to company and site procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor site access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen and direct incoming deliveries, vendors, and commercial vehicles according to site procedures, coordinating with appropriate personnel when needed.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document and report observations according to company and site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
