About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a retail and entertainment venue in Augusta, Georgia. The officer will safeguard clients and visitors by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM and pays $20.35 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, team members, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and venue activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
