About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a front desk reception and computer reporting role in Wilmington, Delaware. The officer serves as a welcoming, professional presence, safeguards clients, and provides customer service at a dynamic location. Duties include greeting visitors, managing access procedures, monitoring activity, responding to security-related concerns, and communicating professionally. The role offers access to a shift-claiming platform for exploring additional shifts.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, providing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access, greet visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs or other front desk records.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
Answer and direct incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate relevant concerns to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a professional front desk presence and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to site leadership.
