About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at The Resort at Papakea. The role includes following building safety and security measures, maintaining working relationships with police and alarm monitoring services, and staying informed about current and upcoming events in the city and county. The Security Officer also answers calls professionally, keeps the desk clean and orderly, and responds promptly to resident and guest requests. The Resort at Papakea is located on Maui's Kaanapali Coast and features 13 oceanfront acres, with condominium accommodations offering private, furnished balconies or lanais.

Requirements

Active Hawaii Guard Card.
Two years of related experience and/or training.
Excellent verbal and people skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, including analyzing and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

Ensure the building is a safe and secure environment at all times.
Maintain a close working relationship with the police and alarm monitoring services.
Ensure proper building safety and security measures are followed at all times.
Maintain up-to-date information about current and future events in the city and county.
Answer the telephone pleasantly and professionally within three rings.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly desk.
Respond expeditiously to resident and guest requests.
