About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at an educational location in Los Angeles, California. The officer will help safeguard the campus by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to security concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role requires professional communication and customer service, along with following site-specific procedures and campus policies. Scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and campus policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations.
Monitor and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related conditions.
Assist with access management, providing directions, supporting events, and communicating with campus stakeholders and emergency responders as needed.
