About The Position

The Graveyard Patrol Officer patrols assigned areas to identify suspicious activity and other violations, deter crime through a visible security presence, and respond to alarm calls. The officer makes observations and documents activity in clear, concise reports. The position is based at the Santa Clarita Office in Valencia, California, and is full time, with a Saturday–Wednesday schedule from 0000 to 0830. The listed pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
Required Guard Card.
Clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
Respond promptly and appropriately to alarm calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls involving disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, or other incidents.
Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain premises security.
Write reports documenting daily activities and irregularities, including equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, and unusual occurrences.
Contact police or fire departments in emergencies, such as a fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
Warn people about rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators, using force when necessary.
Secure building entrance and exit doors and gates.
Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or obtaining paramedic assistance.
Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
