About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for a financial institution location in Charlotte, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees. The role requires professional communication and teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain required documentation, complete incident reports, and support security activities involving sensitive financial areas or assets.
