Security Officer Emergency Assistance
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The officer will safeguard the client by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and providing customer service. The role involves accurate reporting and communication with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Allied Universal provides access to shift-claiming technology, paid training, career growth opportunities, retirement savings, insurance options, and discounts through its Perks Program.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and logistics areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site-specific requirements.
- Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
- Communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
