About The Position

A & Associates is hiring an unarmed Security Officer to help maintain a secure environment. The officer will monitor access at gatehouses and lobbies, conduct facility patrols and inspections, respond to alarms and emergencies, and document incidents and activities. The role requires using phones, tablets, and computers, enforcing site rules, and coordinating with law enforcement when needed. Previous security or law-enforcement experience is preferred but not mandatory. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

Must possess a valid security certificate or equivalent credentials.
Strong understanding of loss-prevention strategies and techniques.
Excellent conflict-management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.

Nice To Haves

Previous security or law-enforcement experience is preferred but not mandatory.
First Aid and CPR certification is highly recommended.
Military experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Monitor access control at gatehouses and lobbies.
Complete hourly logs and report incidents.
Conduct facility tours and patrols.
Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents; assess situations and take appropriate action.
Use phones, tablets, and computers.
Perform gate inspections and manage gate access controls.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies when required.
