About The Position

A & Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. The role involves a proactive approach to security, using surveillance and conflict-management skills to prevent incidents and protect people on the premises. Work is in person.

Requirements

Previous experience in security.
Strong conflict-management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to use a smartphone and tablet.
Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid security officer certification where applicable.
State-required security license.
PERC Card.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Check employees in and out at the lobby desk post.
Check trucks in and out at the guard shack post.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment regularly to identify potential hazards or security breaches.
Manage conflicts using de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with regulations.
